Just finished installing these about 20 mins ago. They went in my 2012 jkur. Install was a little confusing, but once I figured it out went smooth. Seems weird to me to not be using one sides headlight plug. They work great so far, but have yet to have them out in the dark

I installed the HellFire HID kit in my 2012 JK. They look great, HID's should have been offered from the factory. The original headlamps were yellow and dim. This is very bright and on coming traffic hasn't flashed their highbeams once.
I'm impressed by the warranty Rebel offers with this setup. Hopefully I won't have to use it.
The install instruction were disappointing. While the tips were informative and even funny at times. Suggested mounting locations, install photos and/or install diagrams were completely missing. The instructions say to close off the factory passenger wiring and use the driver wiring to trigger the system. I couldn't find a power source that would work with the provided length of wiring on that side of the engine bay. So, I flipped the entire kit and installed it with the passenger side wired into the new harness.
I'm happy with the install Location I choose, but a recommended install location should have been provided.

No more jaundice!

Tired of your underpowered, jaundice stock JK headlights? Here is your answer, they are inexpensive, easy to install and support the general American need of instant gratification. Introducing the Hell Fire 6000k HID’s offered exclusively by Rebel Off Road. Ever since the lift I have noticed the weakness of the JK lights and the dimness of the units. This was real apparent while wheeling out in Death Valley one evening and attempting the drive home, even on the paved roads. It was a challenge for sure, the high beams were used as much as possible but still offered little hope. Upon arrival to the house a head light alignment was performed and this still yielded little in the way of satisfactory results. Yeah I had more light on the ground but what good was it, it was yellow and dim. I was better off driving with my Vision X s1100 Fogs then using any of the headlights. Then one day shortly after this I swapped rides with my wife who wheels a BMW 328 with those sexy Xenon lights and noticed both their whiteness and brightness. It was at this time I knew something HAD to be done to correct the Jeep’s deficiency. No way was I going to let German engineering defeat AMERICAN ingenuity, NO WAY! Research commenced immediately to find some better lights for our rig. VisionX recently touted us with some great driving lights that appear to challenge the sun on their ability to light up the world. However VisionX’s price point is too steep for us mere mortals. Next up are the Truck Lights… YEOW…people. Great lights but again 5 Benjamin’s are still a little much to part with for everyday driving lights and the working stiffs. This is where Rebel steps in… This kit is inexpensive, easy to install (less than hr) and is non-intrusive to your wiring system. Oh and it is complete, as in there is no buying of extra harnesses or housings that other kits require you to buy. Installation is with basic hand tools and takes less than an hr. Results are phenomenal.

Awesome kit!

The guys at Rebel Off Road installed their new HID 6000K headlight kit in my JKU and so far I am very impressed. Below is my initial review and pictures for this awesome kit. Pros: The brightness is FAR superior to the Mopar crap that came with it. The color is a really crisp white that is especially noticeable while stopped next to standard headlights at an intersection. The service with Rebel was top notch. The installation took less than an hour and, despite having a wiring ninja on their staff, appeared to be a pretty easy install. Jason told me that there would be a few second delay between turning the lights on and them activating, I have only noticed a slight lag time; I would say a half second or less. The hi-beams engage pretty quickly as well, and they are as stellar as the lo-beams. The kit itself and the installation were explained in great detail. All the guys are very gracious and knowledgeable, and Jason seems to be a really cool guy. Cons (I had to think really hard to find cons): There is a very discernable light pattern. The distribution is not as “soft” as the stock headlights. At times, I found myself staring at the light pattern instead of the road. I also noticed that the bounce back glare while stopped behind another car was pretty unpleasant; this is easily avoidable by stopping at a greater distance. The ballast gets very hot to the touch. Again, this is only a con if you are in the habit of touching the ballast after running your lights. Finally, some customers brought the Rebel guys a 12 pack of Fat Tire and it was mentioned that they cannot drink while on the clock. That is something a Frenchman would say
